What's in the name?

MobiFirst initially started out as project Maverick; shortly thereafter, we changed our name to MobiFirst. MobiFirst is short for Mobile-First and is Google's recommended design strategy for those creating websites. Additionally, Google's web crawler algorithm has been updated to find sites built with a Mobile-First strategy. Mobile-First sites load faster and perform better on mobile devices, and for this reason, Google and other search engines rank them better than traditional and responsive sites. Nearly 80% of people online are now on mobile devices; for this reason, we found MobiFirst to be the perfect fit for our brand.
